Frequently Asked Questions
What actually happens at a Team Building event?
Your Event Manager will introduce the activity, the aims and objectives, ground rules and any time constraints and you will be split into teams of 5-10 people.
On some events, the teams will each receive a team pack, which may include instructions, diagrams, challenges and more. After the intro, the teams will be directed to their team packs and any equipment they have been issued with, then the Event Manager will step back and allow the teams to make a start.
On other events, after the intro each team will be directed to a specific station or activity, where a facilitator will give them instructions. They may be going head to head with another team, or aiming to complete the challenge to earn a reward. Teams then rotate to other tasks after a set time has passed.
Throughout, the Event Manager will be on hand to answer questions, give advice and guidance, and keep things on track.
Some Events are competitive and there's time at the end for awards and medals. Other Events are collaborative and result in a final finished product that all teams have contributed to.
Will I have to dance / sing / make a fool of myself? Closely related to... Will it be cheesy / cringeworthy?
The short answer is no. We won't make you don't anything you don't want to. Our Team Activities are all time-tested, meticulously planned, and designed to challenge your thought processes and approaches to work and life. On the other hand, if you want to dance and sing go for it! We will be cheering you on!
How much will my Team Building event cost?
Individual activity prices quoted on the website include the first 10 delegates; additional delegates are quoted at a per-head cost, usually around £20-30 per head depending on the activity.
There may be a small charge for travel, particularly if timings or distance necessitate an overnight stay for our team.
What areas do you cover?
We can facilitate Team Building events nationwide. We are based in the North East so our home ground includes any where from Leeds and Manchester, through County Durham, Newcastle, Gateshead and up to Edinburgh and Glasgow. We are also frequently in London and the Home Counties. We have even delivered Team Building abroad! Wherever you are in the UK or further afield, please get in touch for a quote or further info.
Do I pay a deposit / booking fee?
Yes, a 25% booking fee is required at the time of booking to secure your date and equipment. No booking is confirmed until the booking fee has been paid.
What time will you arrive?
This depends on the activity you have chosen and the size of your group. Some team building events can be set up in 10-20 minutes, and other activities may require a couple of hours. As a guideline we will usually arrive at least an hour beforehand. However we will always discuss arrival times and set up / pack down with you in advance so that you know when to expect us.
How long does the event last?
A typical team building event is 2 hours, however they can range from 1 hour to 3 hours or more. Your event is unique to you and we will always work with you to plan and deliver the best possible experience within the time constraints you have or the time you would like to give us.
What happens if it rains and my booking is outdoors?
Some bookings can go ahead in the rain if you and your delegates are up for it! However, that said, we appreciate most sane people prefer to stay warm and dry so we usually bring a back up option that can be moved indoors and set up at short notice and with limited space (this may be a different Team Building Event than you originally booked).
What happens if I need to cancel?
Please see our Cancellation Policy for the full terms. A summary is provided below:
Please note: the booking fee is always non-refundable.
We ask that cancellations are made 10 working days prior to your event in order not to incur additional charges.
